ABOUT CHEF LIZ GIMÉNEZ

Chef Liz Giménez, the woman behind LMG Chef Solutions, is an ACF Certified Chef de Cuisine with an extensive 20-plus year career in institutional food service and culinary education. 

A native of Venezuela, she came to the U.S. to obtain her Business Administration-Management degree, and later earned an Associate of Applied Science in Hospitality Administration from Ivy Tech Community College. During that time she also oversaw a daily food production kitchen that fed over 4,000 meals for hungry men, women and children as Executive Chef of a Hunger Relief kitchen in the heart of Indianapolis.

She became a ServSafe Certified trainer and exam proctor in 2005, and has trained hundreds of food service workers in Indianapolis and abroad, in either English or Spanish. As a Culinary Arts Instructor at Ivy Tech since 2016, she also teaches hospitality-centered classes, including Safe Food Handling, Basic Food Theory and Skills, Breakfast and Pantry, and Soups, Sauces and Stocks.

 

She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to new places,  and eating good food.
